Behind al mighzal

Ghazal Kaki is an interior designer and project management professional who believes thoughtful design should be both accessible and enduring.

Since 2015, her work has challenged the idea that interior design is simply a luxury. She approaches each project as an opportunity to create spaces that are considered, functional and reflective of the people who inhabit them.

Her practice brings together creative direction, practical planning and a considered approach to materials, cost and longevity. With an emphasis on sustainability and affordability, Ghazal creates interiors that balance aesthetic character with the realities of everyday living, without compromising on quality or intention.

Transformation begins with understanding.

Al Mighzal creates interiors around the people who live, work and gather within them.

Each project combines spatial thinking, material sensitivity and practical understanding to transform an initial vision into a resolved environment.

From an idea into something tangible.

Al Mighzal takes its name from the traditional spindle, an object defined by transformation, turning raw fibres into thread.

The same idea sits behind the studio's approach to interiors.

A project begins with fragments: a vision, a need, a place, a way of living.

Through a considered design process, those elements are brought together into an environment with its own rhythm, function and identity.

Spaces should feel considered, not prescribed.

There is no single Al Mighzal aesthetic applied from one project to another.

Instead, each interior develops in response to its context.

The studio looks closely at proportion, material, light and use, balancing creative direction with practical decisions to create spaces that feel distinct and enduring.
